DON’T BELIEVE THE DEVIL OR HIS LIES

***Reconciliation of man – being brought back to God, through Jesus Christ’s life, suffering, beatings, death, resurrection.
Atonement: amends; satisfaction or reparation for a wrong or injury
Justification: freedom from guilt; freed from a charge or offense by an acceptable reason of defense
Righteousness: quality or state of being just; morally good or right
Condemnation: strong disapproval, reprimand or rebuke; to judge or pronounce unfit for use or to live; death sentence
Reconciliation: a bringing together again; the process of making two conflicting things compatible
Commend: to praise someone (or something) as deserving attention or approval (or confidence)
Faith: belief not based on sight, feeling or natural proof; confidence or trust
So, you think and say to yourself that ‘God couldn’t love a person like me especially after all that I’ve done and all that I’m into now’?
Well, those thoughts are so far removed from the truth. I need to tell you a little BIG story:
First, a little factual background:
– There is a God that loves us unconditionally and He has a Son (Jesus) that died for our sins a long long time ago.
– God created the galaxies, the heavens, the earth, man, woman, the animals, etc., by His Son – Jesus Christ.
– There is an evil angelic being called Satan/the Devil that God created (but he wasn’t created evil though), and that rebelled against God a long time ago (long story). He has a great punishment coming to him because he interfered with the eternal purpose of man in the beginning, causing man to sin in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:1-24)
– Satan is absolutely jealous of man and trying to do everything negative to destroy mankind and make mankind share in his eternal punishment.
– There is a punishment for not being on God’s side. (John 3:16-21)
– There is a Heaven – where the truly Born-Again Believers in Jesus Christ will be going; and there is a Hell – where the disobedient to God’s Word will be going … those who reject Jesus Christ, and we don’t have to be in that number. (Revelations 20:11-15)
– There are a huge amount of good angels – such as Michael and Gabriel, that do God’s service and that outnumber the evil angels 3 to 1.
– The Devil hates God, the good angels, and all mankind.
Now – there is nothing you can do that can ever stack up to what Jesus did for you over 2000 years ago on the cross. You can’t be good enough, do enough, give enough, pray enough etc. – but all those things are very necessary and essential, but good works will not get you into heaven. (Ephesians 2:1-9)
It’s only by faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to His Word that makes you a Citizen of Heaven, then the good works will follow what’s in the heart. Heaven needs to be in the heart.
By accepting the Blood of Jesus to wash you from your sins and accepting that the price for our disobedience has already been paid by Jesus’ death on the cross, you are FREE from guilt and shame through Faith – believing in Jesus.
It takes more muscles to frown than to smile, and it takes more energy to doubt than to believe. You can’t see oxygen, but you breath it in and know when it’s good air or bad air. Well, faith and doubt are spiritual forces – you can’t see them, but you surely can feel them, and you’ll experience the outcomes produced by which force you side with.
Don’t let the devil put his famous guilt trips on you and cause you to doubt Jesus. The devil is NEGATIVE. Jesus is POSITIVE! All the promises of God in Him are Yea (Yes), and in Him Amen (So Be It/Settled). There are over 34,000 promises in the Bible for us to take part in, so don’t let the devil trick you.
